Frogs , fun, fun, fun

We started off the morning with various center activities  It always depends on if the kids are in the mood to do the activities as to how long we spend on the various things they do.  Ivy had a great time with this activities and knows just how to do it.  Several of the kids struggle with it, so of course, when it is their turn, they do not want to spend much time at it.  but it is important that they know how to outline with the string because of the learning of fine motor skills

We have two of these wheels.  One attaches the spring clothes pin to the correct color and shape and the other the correct numbers with the number of numbers.  Cooper and Sammy liked this activity and Cooper was a big help for Sam.
Avery likes to pick a card and then punch the plastic pegs into the board.  She has succeeded with the number four
Brook likes to string the bears
She finished with one project and moved on to working on the bear, but it was a little more difficult for her
The first activity of the day was to see just who could follow instructions.  When I got their full attention, I instructed them to put aside the green circle, then the stick, two fat legs, two skinny legs, 2 white eyes, 2 black eyes and the red tongue.  I was very pleased with the results.  Then we proceeded to assemble the frog.
They each had their own character, don't you think?

Today we tried this: First I boiled some red cabbage in a pan. This is what the cabbage before I boiled it.
The next picture is what it looked like after it was boiled

The next plate we added alka seltzer tablet

We divided the purple water into plates  In the first plate we put the baking soda
In the second one we put lemon juice
And in one we put alka seltzer
I think the kids enjoyed seeing what would happen when different things are added

We had only four kiddoes for the last half hour and were able to play a couple of games, one was this dinosaur dominoes game and the other was Memory game.  they had a lot of fun with both games.
Another fun day in PreK  and tomorrow we will finish our  activities with the frogs.
